Ask Anissa: I’m in need of major boost. Help?

by Anissa on November 15, 2009

AskAnissa: I’m 15 years old and a sophomore student. Lately, I have this feeling of being bored because of the routine I have and I feel like I don’t get the life that I wanted. I do the same things almost every day and sometimes, I get tired of it. I really don’t get the feeling I’m experiencing now. I really wanted to have a major boost for a change. What suggestions can you give me? – Anonymous

Answer: Are you feeling in need of major boost? I understand how you feel. Sometimes, when you always do the same things every day, you really will feel bored and think of something new to do. That’s normal especially for teenagers like you. Teenagers always want to have the latest things and want to express how they feel creatively. There are also some times that you feel that no one understands you except yourself. Maybe, you just got so many things in mind that really bothers you. Don’t let the negative energy take over you and express it.

For now, do yourself a favor and pick up that pen. I’m sure this could be tough if you hate writing but it’s a sure way to let your heart out. Speak up your mind. Writing can clear your mind, release your inner emotions, and it’s totally free. There’s no such thing as wrong way to write, take note of that.
Start with a weekly journal and jot down anything important that happens in your life like major gimmick, crush citing, family feud or anything! Once you’ve finished it, read it. You’ll relieve the memories again and you’ll find yourself laughing about it.

Write a long sappy note to your crush. Fill it with every detail you can imagine of. You can even add a pressed flower (really cheesy). Then don’t send it. It’s helpful right?

Write a fiery tale of romance with your unkind teachers in the starring roles. You can have “Retribution” as the title of the story. So, how about that?
Decorate little sticky notes and write something good about yourself on them. Rally up a storm about how special and wonderful you are.
