AskAnissa: We are organizing a New Year's party but we still haven't started with the preparation yet because we are still looking for fun ideas to make it more memorable and exciting. My friends and families are coming since we wanted to welcome the New Year with a big party. In your past party experiences, what can you suggest to make it fun and surprising? We are planning to have a cocktail party. We are also very excited because this is the first time that our family will be hosting a big party. Please share us your bright ideas. Thanks a lot! - Anonymous
Answer: Organizing a New Year's Eve party is a good idea however it comes with great responsibility as well. But there's need to worry because all the hard work that you'll give in organizing the event will be paid off once you see that your guests are enjoying and having a fearless party during the evening. You have mentioned that you wanted to have a masquerade ball then I'll give you some tips on how to do it and would make your guests amazed with you have prepared.
Always make it to a point that your guests will have a homey feeling once they enter the party location and that's what I'm going to share with you. Welcoming the year of the tiger needs a big boom! So choose the colors that would greatly attract luck but showcase sophistication as well. The choices of colors that go well with your masquerade party would be gold, red, silver and royal blue since all of them are in metallic colors. Try to decorate your tables with these lovely table cloths and don't forget to include pretty ornaments like the playground balls.
Another tip that I could share for the adults would be masks just to add a little spice to the masquerade party. Before entering the party hall, give them masks that they can use for the party. For the kids, give them a New Year's hat and a noise maker out of paper. They can make use of that when 12 o'clock strikes. And if you have an extra budget, buy sparklers so that the children can enjoy. And don't forget the wines and homemade cookies for everyone to munch while waiting for the countdown. Enjoy the evening!
