Question: My mom used to when I was little, and after a few years, you didn't see very many tole painting projects.  Do you know where I can get patterns and online class info?  - Abby Moore, WI

Answer:  Abby, I have recently found a terrific site that has a ton of patterns and a whole community where you can join and take classes and get your all in one place!  There is a membership fee, but for what you get in return, it is very inexpensive!  The site is ToleTown.com.  I love all the fantastic patterns this site has to offer.  If you love tole painting or would really like to learn, this is a great community to join.

Question: I am a traditional scrapbooker, but have thought that it would be helpful to use some  for my layouts and for cards.  I have seen a lot of software at scrapbooking shows, but, I don't know which one is best.  Is there a place to find out which is best?  Robyn M., Salinas, CA

Answer: Robyn, I have purchased digital software at shows and I have sat through countless presentations and done some research of my own.  What I have found is that buying digital scrapbooking software is the same as buying a computer.  It all depends on what features you are looking for.  If you are wanting to use digital software for adding to traditional layouts, then it might be wise to find a software that is easy enough to learn and that you can use with programs you already have on your computer.  There are a few things to consider before you purchase: Ease of Use, A Variety of Scrapbooking Images, Ability to Import Scrapbooking, Edit Scrapbooking, Share Scrapbooking, and the ability to Organize Scrapbooking Resources.  If you are wanting to learn more about digital scrapbooking as a way of creating your layouts, then it would be wise to sit in on a class from your local scrapbooking store or at the next retreat or expo.  Most of these digital scrapbooking manufacturers have information online that you can read also.  Below are a few links to the digital software programs that I know of and a link to an online review that I found.

There's a whole community of digital scrapbookers online, and the  they belong to vary in style and such.  You can find these social networks by doing a search online and by going to the social networks or communities that you belong to and asking where everyone else where they get their free and paid digital tools and software.
